Our Wine

There is a dedicated area of over 20 ha for the use of the vineyard, in which we grow the following varieties of grapes: Syrah, Aragonez (known in Spain as Tempranillo and in Northern Portugal as Tinto Roriz), Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet, all used exclusively for the production of red vine.

From the start of our wine production, the designated different kind of grapes, have been blended together to the right degree, in order to produce the best possible quality of wine, always under the expert guidance and recommendations of, at first, the well-known Oenologist António Saramago, who was later joined by a second expert.

Oenologist Dorina Lindemann, this to ensure the continued topmost quality of our end product. Both Oenologists contribution has ensured the excellent final quality of the wine produced.

LOCATION
The "HERDADE DOS LAGOS" is found just few hundred yards from the Vale de Açor de Cima village, midway in between the towns of Beja and Mértola, on the E.N. 122, in the Baixo Alentejo region

Continental Mediterranean climate with top hot and daily temperatures
during summer, with good range variation during the harvest period
